Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a bad performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index down by 2.23% at 166.61 points. But it annual performance is mitigated by 2.98% to reach P/E of 10.96.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 1.241 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 766 244 shares against 1 039 768 shares last week. The market breadth was mitigate (w/w) with 24 decliners, 15 gainers and 7 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Construction” was the best performer, growing by 5.88% at 48.40 points and the “Distribution” knew the strongest drop (-8.03%) at 32.45 points.
The worst performances of the week were recorded by:
SMB CI showed the largest drop of the week (-18.18%) to XOF 4 500. At this trading session, BERNABE CI (-14.09%) closed at XOF 1 860. The good performance observed the previous week on PALM CI has not been confirmed. The stock price fell by 9.72% to XOF 1 300. Finally, the Banking and Finance sector index, which recorded a 2.87% deterioration, was affected by the performance of the BOA MALI (XOF 2 595) and BOA CI (XOF 3 380) stocks, which declined by 8.95% and 8.53% respectively.
The best performances of the week were recorded by:
CFAO CI recorded a strong rise of +10.48% for a closing price of XOF 580. At this trading session, SETAO CI (XOF 180) recorded an up of 5.88%. Compared to last Friday, UNIWAX CI (XOF 2 500) evolved by 4.17%. With a transaction volume of 46 504 shares, BOLLORE increased by 4.05% to close at XOF 1 800. To end this upward ranking, SAFCA CI, which recorded a second consecutive week of growth, reached XOF 260 for an improvement of 4.00%.
The bond market ended this week with an increase by 2.98% at XOF 3 662.05 billion against XOF 3 556.23 billion last week. This increase is mainly due to the first listing of the bond issue “TPCI 6.00% 2018-2025 B”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 1.01 billion for 103 073 bonds traded. The bond “TPBF 6.50% 2018-2025 A” with 50 000 bonds for XOF 490 million was the most liquid, representing 48.48% of the total value traded.
