Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a bad performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index down by 0.61% at 162.88 points and it annual performance is remains mitigated by 5.15% to reach P/E of 10.51.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 796.15 million. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 429 084 shares against 759 271 shares last week. The market breadth was descending (w/w) with 22 decliners, 12 gainers and 12 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Chemical” was the best performer, growing by 5.00% at 21.82 points and the “Telecommunication” knew the strongest drop (-6.11%) at 94.38 points.
The worst performances of the week were recorded by :
ONATEL BF showed the largest drop of the week (-11.83%) to XOF 4 100. The deterioration observed on SMB CI (-10.10%), has induced the bad performance recorded by the Oil & Gas Index which ended at 62.09 points against 63.73 points last weeks. At this trading session, SICOR CI fell by 7.44% to stand at XOF 3 295. This Friday, SERVAIR ABIDJAN (-6.67%), recorded a fourth consecutive weeks of growth, by showing up at XOF 1 400. Finally, SICABLE CI declined by 5.73% for a closing price of XOF 905.
The best performances of the week were recorded by :
SAPH CI recorded a strong rise of +10.87% for a closing price of XOF 2 550. With a transaction volume of 236 350 shares, ETI (XOF 18) recorded an up of 5.88%. In a positive trend for two weeks now, AIR LIQUIDE CI increased by 5.00% to close at XOF 420. The stock CFAO CI evolved by 4.76% to show a price of XOF 550. To end this upward ranking, NEI CEDA CI, reached XOF 240 for an improvement of 4.35%.
The bond market ended this week with a decrease by 0.91% at XOF 3 616.07 billion against XOF 3 649.43 billion last week. This down is mainly due to the partial reimbursement of the bond issue “TPBF 6.50% 2013-2020”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 5.097 billion for 520 994 bonds traded. The bond “TPBF 6.50% 2018-2025 (TPBF 06)” with 350 000 bonds for XOF 3.45 billion was the most liquid, representing 67.63% of the total value traded.
