Ø Equity market Summary
Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a bad performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index down by 0.64% at 157.79 points and it annual performance is remains mitigated by 8.12% to reach P/E of 8.67.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 2.299 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 1 363 560 shares against 1 808 454 shares last week. The market breadth was descending (w/w) with 24 decliners, 10 gainers and 12 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Edition Publication” was the best performer, growing by 13.46% at 224.3 points and the “Transport” knew the strongest drop (-5.57%) at 32.68 points.
The worst performances of the week were recorded by:
BOLLORE showed the largest drop of the week (-10.83%) to XOF 1 400. The deterioration observed on SAPH CI (-10.42%), has induced the bad performance recorded by the Agro-processing Index. This Friday, NESTLE CI (-7.74%) remains in a negative trend and close at XOF 715. At this trading session, SERVAIR ABIDJAN CI fell by 6.44% to stand at XOF 1 235. Finally, CFAO CI declined by 6.32% for a closing price of XOF 445.
The best performances of the week were recorded by:
NEI CEDA CI recorded a strong rise of +13.46% for a closing price of XOF 295. At this trading session, CORIS BANK INTERNATIONAL reached XOF 8 400 for a 10.53% growth. With a transaction value of 29 031 800 shares, SOLIBRA CI (XOF 32 250) recorded an up of 7.50%. The stock BOA CI evolved by 7.41% to show a price of XOF 2 900. To end, SGB CI reached XOF 9 000 for an improvement of 4.53%.
Ø Bond Market Summary
The bond market ended this week with a decrease by 3.92% at XOF 3 710.34 billion against XOF 3 570.45 billion last week. This up is mainly due to the first listing of the bonds issue “CRRH-UEMOA 5.95% 2018-2030 and CRRH-UEMOA 6.05% 2018-2033”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 543.5 million for 55 534 bonds traded. The bond “TPCI.029 - TPCI 6% 2018-2026” with 42 286 bonds for XOF 411.1 million was the most liquid, representing 75.64% of the total value traded.
