  • Equity market Summary

 

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a bad performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index down by 0.55% at 155.93 points and it annual performance is remains mitigated by 9.20% to reach P/E of 8.54.

 

The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 881.631 million. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 169 629 shares against 311 672 shares last week. The market breadth was descending (w/w) with 23 decliners, 10 gainers and 13 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Automotive  Suppliers” was the best performer, growing by 1.79% at 13.58 points and the “Edition Publication” knew the strongest drop (-16.36%) at 174.88 points.

 

The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

 

NEI CEDA CI showed the largest drop of the week (-16.36%) to XOF 230. The deterioration observed on SOGB CI (-4.76%), has induced the bad performance recorded by Agro-processing Index. This Friday, UNIWAX CI (-4.15%) remains in a negative trend and close at XOF 2 195. At this trading session, PALM CI fell by 4.04% to stand at XOF 950. Finally, VIVO ENERGY CI declined by 3.95% for a closing price of XOF 850.

 

The best performances of the week were recorded by:

 

SAFCA CI recorded a strong rise of +21.92% for a closing price of XOF 445. At this trading session, SOLIBRA CI reached XOF 34 660 for a 7.47% growth. With a transaction value of XOF 3 928 175, BOA MALI (XOF 2 050) recorded an up of 5.67%. The stock CFAO CI evolved by 3.61% to show a price of XOF 430. To end, BOA CI reached XOF 2 900 for an improvement of 3.57%.

 

  • Bond Market Summary

 

The bond market ended this week with a slight increase by 0.01% at XOF 3 697.66 billion against XOF 3 697.26 billion last week. This up is mainly due to the gain of XOF 55 on the price of the capital of the bond “TPBJ 6.50% 2017-2027”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 26.15 million for 2 621 bonds traded. The bonds “SUKUK TOGO 6.50% 2016-2026” with 684 bonds for XOF 6.81 million and “TPBJ 6.50% 2018-2025” with 667 bonds for XOF 6.67 million were the most liquid, representing 26.02% and 25,5% respectively of the total value traded.
