Market Commentaries
This week, market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) are recorded a good performance (w/w). Indeed, at the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index gain 0.43% to stand at 157.17 points. Nevertheless, its annual performance is remains low at 8.48% when the P/E reached 10.04.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 2.97 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 3 896 792 shares against 3 496 748 shares last week. The market breadth was ascending (w/w) with 13 gainers, 20 decliners and 13 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Edition Publication” was the best performer, growing by 12.24% at 209.09 points and the “Textile” knew the strongest drop (-4.53%) at 76.42 points.
The best performances of the week were recorded by:
NEI CEDA CI recorded a boost of 12.24% for a closing price of XOF 275. Compared to the previous week, BOLLORE stood at XOF 1 550 for a 7.27% improvement. BOA BENIN (XOF 3 700), for a total value of transaction XOF 17 272 045, showed an up of 6.32%. With a 6.25% up, ETI (XOF 17) returned to growth after its poor performance of the previous week. Finally, BOA MALI reached XOF 2 050 for an improvement of 3.27%.
The worst performances of the week were recorded by:
CROWN SIEM CI showed the largest drop of the week (-10.00%) to XOF 180. In decline since the beginning of August, SAFCA CI (-7.41%) closed at XOF 500. By evolving from XOF 1 420 last Friday to XOF 1 350 this Friday, CIE CI (-4.93%) reduced the performance of the Infrastructure sector index which down by 0.67 points. At this trading session, UNIWAX CI fell by 4.53% to stand at XOF 2 000. Finally, with a decrease of 3.33%, SMB CI reached a closing price of XOF 4 350.
The bond market ended this week with an increase by 2.01% at XOF 3 750.97 billion against XOF 3 677.12 billion last week. This up is mainly due to the first listing of the bond “TPBF 6.50% 2019-2027”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 780.03 million for 78 388 bonds traded. The sukuk “State of Togo 6,50% 2016-2026” with 25 000 bonds for XOF 200 million was the most liquid, representing 32.05% of the total value traded.
