This week, market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) recorded a bad performance (w/w). Indeed, at the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index lost 1.42% to stand at 139.8 points. Also, its annual performance is remains low at 18.59% for a P/E reached 9.25.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 1.316 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 454 470 shares against 1 168 158 shares last week. The market breadth was descending (w/w) with 17 decliners, 14 gainers and 15 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Packaging” knew the strongest drop (-3.56%) at 15.21 points and the “Construction” was the best performer, growing by 5.56% at 51.04 points.
The worst performances of the week were recorded by:
NSIA BANQUE CI (-10.29%) which shows the most substantial drop of the week, closed at XOF 3 050. At this trading session, FILTISAC CI (XOF 930) fell by 7.00%. CFAO CI (-6.98%) recorded a second consecutive weeks of down to stood at XOF 400. The stock seems begins a negative cycle. The decline of 0.65 point observed in Banking & Finance sector index, was driven by the underperformance of SAFCA CI (XOF 360) and ECOBANK CI (XOF 2 730) which recorded a decline of 6.49% and 5.86% respectively.

In a good trend since the splitting of its price, TRACTAFRIC MOTORS CI (XOF 2 600) showed the strongest performance of the week with push of 11.59%. PALM CI (XOF 965), returns to growth after its low performance of last week, by showing an increase of 7.22%. At this trading session, SETAO CI (+5.56%) reached a closing price of XOF 190. CIE CI whose price rose from XOF 1 200 to XOF 1 250, gained 4.17%. Finally, by achieving a volume traded of 1 208, UNIWAX CI (XOF 1 500) increased by 3.45%.
The bond market closed this week with an increase of 3.36% at XOF 4 149.77 billion against XOF 4 014.965 billion last week. This up is mainly due to the first listing of the bonds “TPCI 5.75% 2019-2026 and TPCI 6.00% 2019-2029”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 22.67 million for 2 294 bonds traded. The bonds “TPBJ 6.50% 2018-2025” with 642 bonds for XOF 6.418 million and the bond “TPCI 5.75% 2019-2026” with 500 bonds for XOF 5 million, have been the most liquid, representing 28.31% and 22.05% respectively of the total value traded.
