WideCells Group PLC ( LON:WDC) was originally set-up in 2012 in Portugal, as a provider of stem cell storage services for the Portuguese and Spanish markets. In 2016 the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange, raising £1.7mln - net of fees, largely used to establish a new research and storage facility in Manchester, UK and to support the ongoing international expansion.
WideCells Group is a stem cell services company, focused on making stem cell treatments accessible and affordable. Co. has created three divisions: CellPlan, WideCells and WideAcademy. CellPlan: This is a stem cell healthcare insurance plan providing financial cover and recommendation of transplant center, private cord blood transplantation costs, travel to treatment center, accommodation expenses and concierge service to manage the whole transplant process. WideCells: The focus is on stem cell research and regenerative medicine. WideAcademy: Developing an education and training division to promote understanding of the benefits of stem cell storage and treatment.
