Andritz Company News - 2020 guidance suspended
Andritz suspended the FY 2020 guidance on the back of uncertainties in relation to the duration and extent of the Covid-19 crisis and its impact on the global economy. The guidance issued on March 4 had forecast a slight increase vs. 2019 sales of EUR 6.7 bn and unchanged EBITA adj. for extraordinary of EUR 456 mn (RCB 2020e sales of EUR 7.0 bn and EBITA of EUR 488 mn). Management considers estimating the effects of the crisis on sales and EBITA impossible.Andritzis develops production systems and industrial process solutions for standard and specialized products. Co. maintains five business areas. Pulp and Paper provides technology and services for production of various grades of pulp and fiber for the manufacture of paper, board and tissue. Metals develops and manufactures plants for the production of cold-rolled carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals strip. Environment and Process provides products and services for mechanical and thermal solid or liquid separation. Feed and Biofuel develops and produces equipment for production of feed. Hydro supplies turnkey electromechanical equipment and services for hydro power plants.
