CEE Banking Sector Report 2021 - As good as it gets in (post-)crisis times
We are delighted to present the 2021 edition of our well-established annual CEE Banking Sector flagship report. We share it in December as a way of a round-up for the successful year for banks in the region and to allow for a decent perspective into 2022. Amid a sturdy V-shaped recovery the banks return on equity in CEE rebounded nicely towards double-digit pre-pandemic levels and even reaching new multi-year highs in some markets. Moreover, CEE banking markets will remain in the spotlight for M&A activities, technological transformation and evolving ESG agendas.
