Macro: COVID-19 Economic Update CEE: Countrywide testing in Slovakia, cases rise throughout CEE

This slide deck gives you an updated overview of restrictions and economic, fiscal and monetary measures in Central, South Eastern and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Austria. The data is collected by Raiffeisen RESEARCH analysts based in CEE countries and in Austria and is biweekly updated.?
Recent developments:?
-New cases: Pandemic deterioration continues throughout CEE with CZ still being the negative outlier although recent days show some improvement in the change of 7-day sum of cases per population (slide 7). In CE situation continues to worsen also in SK and PL?. Outside this region pandemic deteriorated especially fast in HR and BH. While the situation is relatively better currently in BG, RS, AL, KO, the dynamics of new cases (slide 8) reflect increasing risks. ?
-Responses: Governments in CZ? and PL? continue to add new restrictions with a curfew imposed in the former and closing of restaurants in the latter. SK began countrywide testing with 4% positive rate in pilot round (more on slide 4&7). In SEE governments of RO and BH? also add new restrictions with measures in RO mainly focused on the capital city while restrictions in BH? are for now relatively milder compared to CE?.
