Macro: COVID-19 Update CEE: Going back to normal (under new sanitary rules) - Overview of restrictive and supportive measures as of 29 May

This slide deck gives you an updated overview of restrictions and economic, fiscal and monetary measures in Central, South Eastern and Eastern Europe (CEE), Austria, Germany and the USA. The data is collected by Raiffeisen RESEARCH analysts based in CEE countries and in Austria and is continuously updated.
Recent developments:
New cases: most countries in a downwards sloping path while Poland only managed to flatten the curve due to several new clusters and Russia being the negative outlier after a drastic increase in new cases throughout May, though recently moderating
Easing restrictions: most countries are already at last stages of restrictions easing with shops and restaurants opened (under new strict sanitary rules). Malls are also widely reopened as well as cultural facilities. Schools remain mostly closed for older students, while kindergarten operate.
Borders remain mostly closed but bilateral easing of restrictions occur (like Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia). Serbia has opened its border entirely from May 22nd.
Exceptions in the pace of easing are Russia which has prepared a 3-stage plan but gave no dates yet, and Romania which began easing in mid-May with gradual opening of shops.
