Turkey - ODD Data February 2022 Comment
Automotive Sales in February• According to Automotive Distributors’ Association (ODD) data, auto market contracted by 15% y/y to 49,652 units in February 2022. (February 2021: 58,504) While the passenger cars sales were 37,641 units (down by 16% y/y), LCV sales decreased to 12,011 units (down by 13% y/y).
• TOASO’s sales decreased by 38% y/y to 6,991 units. TOASO’s PC sales were down by 49% y/y, and its LCV sales also down by 15% y/y. TOASO’s market share increased to 14.1% in February compared to 12.4% in January.
• FROTO’s sales were down by 17% y/y to 4,767 units. FROTO’s PC sales decreased by 49% y/y, and its LCV sales were down by 7% y/y. FROTO’s market share increased to 9.6% in February compared to 7.7% in January.
• DOAS’s sales contracted by 42% y/y to 6,041 units. DOAS’s PC and LCV sales were down by 40% and 58% y/y, respectively. DOAS’s market share increased to 12.2% in February compared to 6.3% in January.
