Turkey Wake-up call: Macro, Political and Equity News, 1st July
BIST-100 declined by 1.1% yesterday. The industrial index was down by 1% while the banking index retreated by 0.3%. SASA, TCELL, TTKOM, EKGYO and KCHOL were among the decliners while PGSUS, GARAN, EREGL and ARCLK were among the gainers in BIST-30. Today, Turkish PMI is expected to be announced at 10am (consensus: 49.3). We expect slightly positive opening for the headline index.
