Turkey Wake-up call: Macro, Political and Equity News, 24th August
BIST-100 increased 1.02% on along with the rebound in global peers. Banking and transportation indices led to the increase in BIST yesterday. Banks gained 1.6% on average and transportation index gained 1.82%, marginally above the broader market. TAVHL, SISE, SAHOL THYAO, PGSUS topped the non-bank gainers while TCELL and ARCLK were some of the weak spots. We expect positive opening for the headline index.
