Wienerberger Company News - Company update on current situation amid Covid-19
After having sent out a presentation this morning, Wienerberger hosted a conference call dealing with the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic on its business in the afternoon. The management summarised the status quo and elaborated on some measures taken in response to the changed framework, stressing the short period of time. It was made clear that capacity adjustments are just the response to officially imposed restrictions/measures and that the group is not yet preparing for potentially reduced demand once the Covid-19 spread is contained. Financial aspects should be provided in the next update calls.Wienerberger is a building materials group. Co.'s segments include: Clay Building Materials Eastern Europe, Clay Building Materials Western Europe, Pipes & Pavers Eastern Europe, Pipes & Pavers Western Europe, North America and Holding & Others. The Clay Building Materials Europe division covers activities in the areas of clay blocks, facing bricks and roof tiles. The Pipes & Pavers Europe division includes Co.'s business activities with plastic pipes, ceramic pipes and concrete pavers. The North America division covers activities in the areas of facing bricks, plastic pipes and concrete products. The Holding & Others division covers activities in the areas of clay blocks.
