Early talks with Vodafone regarding assets disposals
Following recent press speculation, Vodafone has confirmed that it is in early stage discussions with Liberty Global for the potential acquisition of certain overlapping continental European assets owned by Liberty Global. Discussions do not seem to concern The UK and Ireland. Liberty Global has not reacted to Vodafone’s press release. These sort of discussions have been witnessed on and off for several years now with both groups unable to agree on assets valuation. To date, only a tie-up in the Netherlands has been realized (VodafoneZiggo).
