Synlab, the German clinical test laboratory, released disappointing 4Q17 results marked by a deterioration in profitability. Q4 sales were up 18% yoy to €484m, while organic growth stood at +3.2%. Organic revenue was mainly driven by good sales volume in Germany and France (45% of group sales) in a stable pricing environment, which more than compensated for declining sales in Belgium, Spain and Czech Republic.
