Hampidjan hf is an Iceland-based company active in the production of nets and ropes. It is mainly engaged in the manufacture of fishing nets, ropes and fishing longlines for the fishing fleet. Its products are tailored for specific tasks for the fishing industry, as well as for other industries and tasks, like leisure, military, lifting, mooring, seismic, tugging, yachting, and off road activities. The Company also manufactures different types of sport netting, ropes, straps and hardware. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had nine subsidiaries, out of which seven were wholly owned. The Company's subsidiaries are active in such countries, as New Zealand, Norway, Canada, Lithuania, the United States, Cayman Islands, Denmark, Ireland and Iceland. Additionally, as of December 31, 2011, the Company owned 9.43% of shares of HB Grandi hf.
