Signs Exclusive Agreement with University of Oxford
Agreement with University of Oxford. On August 31, 2023, Aspira Women’s Health announced that it has entered into a material transfer agreement with the University of Oxford for the procurement of serum samples to be used to verify and validate AWH’s endometriosis blood testing algorithms. This means that AWH will be able to use the samples to support the launch of EndoCheckSM, its first-generation blood test to aid in the diagnosis of endometriosis. Verifying the test. This involves taking a test and comparing known samples to run against the test, verifying the test actually works. This cannot be done with just one sample, run many times. It has to be done many times with different samples. The key is to get enough blood samples to show that the test actually works, to verify it. The results of this verification process will be published. Before the end of 2023, these verification results will be published in a manuscript. Published results will be critical for obtaining reimbursement for the EndoCheckSM tests. This agreement is a significant endorsement of AWH’s technology. It is often difficult to obtain sufficient numbers of blood samples to run such verification tests for testing companies, but the University of Oxford believes that EndoCheckSM addresses a significant unmet medical need.
