Sector Overview - Copper prices hit hard, will they bounce today?

Copper was wacked by profit taking in London, while no recovery has been seen in New York and Asia. The price is currently down five and a half US dollars per pound ($/lb.) at $2.955/lb.; nickel lost fifteen cents/lb. to $5.15/lb.; aluminium was down a full cent/lb., but has rallied half that to 95 cents/lb. as lower Chinese production statistics encouraged. Lead was unchanged at $1.03/lb. and zinc slipped a half cent/lb. to $1.38/lb.
