Sector Overview - Copper prices remain well bid, while iron ore recovers

Base metals, particularly copper remain mainly rampant; the copper price is now up four US cents per pound ($/lb.) at $3.13/lb., with two and a half cents/lb. of the gain coming in early Asian trading. Nickel prices are ten cents/lb. better at nearly $5.30/lb.; aluminium slipped half a cent/lb. to 96 cents/lb; lead is up half a cent/lb. at $1.155/lb. and zinc has risen one cent/lb. to $1.51/lb.
