A slowdown activity is being confirmed
Q1 2016 sales increased by 7% compared to Q1 2015 due to the opening of new entertainment and hotel locations. Operating income witnessed a decrease of 15.9% to SAR46.4m (vs. SAR55.2m in Q1 2015) but increased significantly (+68.7%) compared to the previous quarter. AlHokair announced a decline of 12.8% in the net profit which amounted to SAR50.2m net profit compared to SAR57.6m a year earlier, but posting an important growth of 57.4% compared to the previous quarter.
Net income surprisingly falling down
Alhokair Tourism posted a Q4 2015 net profit in decline by -36.5% to SAR31.9M. The operating profit amounted to SAR27.5M, i.e. a drop of -42.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The company posted a sales increase of 10.8%, up to SAR275.59M. Thus, Alhokair closed the year 2015 with an increase of 20.4% in FY 2015 consolidated sales which amounted to SAR1,145.9M.
