The Bulgarian equities inched higher on Friday, recovering most of the previous session’s losses and closing the week with modest gains. A rebound in Advance Terrafund (ATER, BGN 2.67, +1.91%) and a steady bid in Shelly Group (SLYG, EUR 56.40, +1.44%) helped to lift all major indexes, with SOFIX (1 087.77, +0.14%) leading the advance. Trading volumes were broadly unchanged from the prior session, remaining subdued for the season. Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 0.70, 0.00%) and Eurohold (EUBG, BGN 1.90, +...
The Bulgarian equity market bent under selling pressure on Thursday, as weakness in several standalone names pulled the major indexes into negative territory. Wiser Technologies (WISR, BGN 4.52, -4.24%) and Advance Terrafund (ATER, BGN 2.62, -2.60%) led the declines, weighing broadly on sentiment. At the same time, Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.72, +1.12%) and Sirma Group (SGH, BGN 1.72, +0.58%) attracted renewed interest after their latest financial results outperformed expectations. Both names were amo...
The Bulgarian stock market ended the previous week on a positive note, with the sole exception of the sector index BGREIT (226.49, -0.6%), which reflected the weaker performance of Advance Terrafund (ATER, BGN 2.75, -1.8%). The leading local benchmark SOFIX gained 0.8% to close at 1 079.33, supported by strong upward moves from heavyweights Eurohold Bulgaria (EUBG, BGN 1.94, +7.8%) and the high-growth Shelly Group (SLYG, EUR 54.00, +5.5%). Both stocks were also among the top gainers in FFBH’s li...
Trading activity remained subdued on the Bulgarian equity market on Thursday, with all major indexes slipping modestly below their previous levels. SOFIX (1 072.55, -0.21%) absorbed losses in eight of its fifteen constituents, led by Central Cooperative Bank (CCB, BGN 1.66, -2.35%). Support from Eleven Capital (11C, BGN 16.00, +3.23%) and Stara Planina Hold (SPH, BGN 9.85, +2.60%) helped soften the downside pressure on the broader gauges, yet both BGBX40 (193.26, -0.06%) and BGTR30 (946.00, -0.0...
Friday’s session was quiet, carrying a slightly negative tone for the Bulgarian equity market. Nine out of the 15 SOFIX members finished on the downside, with the tech sector leading the retreat — represented by Shelly Group (SLYG, EUR 51.20, -1.92%), Sirma Group (SGH, BGN 1.67, -1.76%), and Wiser Technologies (WISR, BGN 4.96, -1.78%). SOFIX (1 067.06, -0.18%) closed slightly negative on the last trading day of the month as opposite move of index members offset each other. First Investment Bank (FIB, BGN 5.06, -3.44%), Smart Organic (SO, BGN 27.60, -1.43%), Sirma Group Holding (SGH, BGN 1.70, -1.16%) and Advance Terrafund (ATER, BGN 2.82, -1.05%) disappointed investors with the release of Q3 financial reports and selling pressure did not find adequate demand. Wiser (WISR, BGN 5.05, +1.81%) also reported loss in Q3 but negative...
Huge dividend distribution from Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE, BGN 10.60, +10.42%) pushed SOFIX (1 073.93, +0.74%) up on Friday. IT companies Sirma Group Holding (SGH, BGN 1.44, +2.13%) and Wiser (WISR, BGN 5.40, +1.89%) offset the drop of Shelly (SLYG, BGN 54.80, -1.08%) with bigger than regular daily turnover. The wider BGBX40 (193.74, +0.46%) also gained altitude on the back of Monbat (MONB, BGN 1.95, +2.63%) and Sofia Commerce Pawn Brokerage (SCOM, BGN 8.40, +3.07%).

The local benchmark SOFIX declined by 0.7%, closing at 1 077.62, while the broader BGBX40 (195.28, -0.2%) and BGTR30 (958.07, +0.1%) remained flattish. BGREIT (230.31, +0.04%) was the lone gainer, edging higher reflecting the positive price actions of Sopharma Buildings (SFB, BGN 15.80, +1.94%). Among the benchmark constituents, Sirma Group (SGH, BGN 1.38, -2.13%), Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE, BGN 9.70, -1.52%), and Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.68, -0.74%) led the laggards amid moderate activity. The Bulgarian equity market delivered a mixed performance during the first week of September, as investors’ sentiment remained subdued and lacked a strong catalyst to drive a more decisive market direction. The benchmark SOFIX index edged up by 0.4%, closing at 1 085.72 points, while all the other major indices moved within a narrow range, between +0.1% and -0.4%. The top performer among the tracked stocks was Stara Planina Hold (SPH), which gained 4.2% to BGN 10.00. Sopharma (SFA) – a SOFIX con...
The Bulgarian equity market traded mostly on the bid side, with all major indexes closing in positive territory. The upward momentum was driven by heavyweight Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.73, +1.49%), further supported by Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 0.73, +1.39%). These gains offset declines in First Investment Bank (FIB, BGN 5.18, -2.63%), Hydraulic Elements & Systems (HES, BGN 4.90, -3.92%), and Gradus (GR6, BGN 1.00, -3.85%). Daily volumes remained subdued compared to the 3-month average on a benchmark bas...
The Bulgarian equity market shook off early weakness on Friday to close the week and the month on a positive note. Heavyweight Shelly Group (SLYG, EUR 55.20, -3.83%) pressured the market in early trade, but upbeat financial results lifted sentiment in Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.65, +5.16%) and Doverie United Holding (DUH, BGN 9.30, +2.42%), helping major indexes reverse course. SOFIX (1 081.60, +0.45%) rose for a second straight session, marking another fresh 18-year high. The real estate sector also ...
Retail investors and speculators rule the trading and SOFIX 1 068.10 (-0.06) fluctuated without significant daily volume on Wednesday. Heavy Shelly (SLYG, EUR 55.80, -2.11%) and Wiser (WISR, BGN 5.60, -1.75%) retreated during the day as bid/ask spreads of both companies remained 3-5% wide. Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.50, +0.81%) and First Investment Bank (FIB, BGN 5.42, +2.65%) supported the main index without corporate news, while moderated financial performance of Sirma Group Holding (SGH, BGN 1.38, ...
A block trade and positive sentiment in the end of the trading session lifted Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF, BGN 5.20, +1.96%) while speculative trades fixed Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE, BGN 9.35, +0.54%) and Eurohold (EUBG, BGN 1.85, +0.54%) positive. SOFIX (1 068.73) remained unchanged due to the south move of tech companies Shelly (SLYG, EUR 57.00, -0.70%) and Sirma Group Holding (SGH, BGN 1.36, -1.45%). Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 0.725, -2.68%) also plunged on Tuesday on the back of speculat...
Selling pressure in key constituents Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 0.715, -2.05%) and Sopharma (SFA, BGN 2.44, -0.41%) nudged the SOFIX slightly lower by 0.03% to 1 042.97 on Wednesday. In contrast, the broader indexes outperformed, supported by gains in M+S Hydraulic (MSH, BGN 10.20, +2.51%) and Stara Planina Hold (SPH, BGN 9.30, +5.08%). The BGBX40 rose 0.21% to 192.00, while the BGTR30 added 0.19% to 951.29. Turnover remained well above average, driven in part by activity in less frequently traded st...
Green color and huge weekly turnover set SOFIX at 1025.22 (+1.8%) – level we haven’t seen since September 2008. Weekly turnover tripled and reached BGN 44m., compared to the average one YTD of BGN 15.6m. Main distributors for the increased volume were Doverie Unted Holding’s buy-back and Sopharma’s sales of its treasury shares. The week was highlighted also by the first IPO this year of Green Innovation which raised almost BGN 8m. on Tuesday.
The Bulgarian benchmark index SOFIX climbed 1.12% to 1025.22, reaching a record 16-year high on the final trading day of the week. The rise was driven by strong performances from Bulgarian Real Estate Fund (BREF, BGN 4.94, +2.23%) and Sopharma (SFA, BGN 7.00, +6.06%). Meanwhile Neochim (NEOH, BGN 22.00, -2.65%) and Albena (ALB, BGN 26.20, -2.96%) traded lightly and curbed the broader market’s momentum. As a result, BGBX40 and BGTR30 posted modest gains of 1.17% (188.81) and 0.76% (942.08), respe...
The Bulgarian equity market traded on a positive note throughout Tuesday’s session and the major indexes settled with gains in range between 0.09% and 0.21% while BGREIT (220.06, -0.21%) was an exception once again, following Advance Terrafund’s (ATER, BGN 2.80) slip by 1.06%. The positive bias came from names like Sirma Group (SGH, BGN 1.41, +2.92%), Eleven Capital (11C, BGN 15.50, +2.65%) and Chimimport (CHIM, BGN 0.71, +3.65%). The volumes remained low compared to 3-month average as the inves...
The Bulgarian stock market did not manage to find support during the past week and indexes finished the week mainly on the red side, as the benchmark SOFIX (1007.57, +0.1%) was the only one in green. Three index members – Shelly Group (SLYG, EUR 50.20, +5.7%), Wiser (WISR, BGN 5.40, +1.9%) and Sopharma Trading (SFT, BGN 5.80, +0.9%) were on the top of the gainers within our list of selected securities. On the other side, Speedy (SPDY, BGN 190.00, -5.0%) and Alcomet (ALCM, BGN 5.95, -4.8%) lost t...
The major indexes finished the week mixed as no conviction was seen from either buyers or sellers. The heavy members Shelly (SLYG, EUR 50.20, -1.18%) weighed on SOFIX (1007.57, -0.22%), and the benchmark index registered a loss despite the equilibrium in the advancer-decliner line, while Neochim (NEOH, BGN 23.00, +8.49%) boosted the broad indexes and BGTR30 (931.71) registered a 0.20% gain. The activity was moderate and the turnover within the SOFIX covered the 3-month average.
