In the first quarter, Goldcorp produced 590,000 gold ounces, down 10% from the prior-year quarter. Yet despite the production decline, costs remained in check, with all-in sustaining costs, or AISC, roughly flat at $810 per ounce compared with $800 per ounce a year ago. Combined with an 8% higher gold price, adjusted EBITDA was up roughly 1.5% over the prior-year quarter.
