Quadrise continues to advance towards commercial revenues for its innovative fuel and biofuel technologies, with each of its projects approaching key milestones in 2024. Preparatory steps for the MSC Shipmanagement (MSC) fuel trials are now complete and fuel supply agreements are nearing finalisation. Quadrise will achieve its first licensing revenues on the successful completion of Valkor’s project financing (timing uncertain). Quadrise also successfully concluded its Morocco trial, paving the ...

Quadrise has announced final test results for potential low-carbon marine fuels. The tests demonstrated that bioMSAR blends containing Vertoro’s crude sugar oil (CSO) reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by over 30%, while increasing engine efficiency by up to 7% and significantly lowering emissions of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO) compared to diesel. Formulations incorporating biofuels containing waste-based methyl esters lowered CO2 emissions by up to 45%, increased engine ef...

During H123 Quadrise made further progress on the three projects that provide the company with the fastest and most material paths to commercialisation. Assuming that the ongoing discussions regarding a licence agreement with Valkor in Utah complete soon, management expects Quadrise to generate its first commercial revenues, which would be from IP licencing, during Q423 (Q2 CY23).

While there is much discussion about the use of green fuels to achieve net zero carbon emissions, in practice there are many hurdles to overcome before these can be widely deployed. Quadrise’s synthetic oil and biofuel technology provides a proven, economically attractive route for reducing emissions today and eliminating them completely by 2030.
During FY22 Quadrise signed agreements progressing the three key projects with MSC Shipmanagement (MSC), its client in Morocco and Valkor in Utah, following which it expects trials to start soon. Successful delivery on these existing projects should enable Quadrise to become revenue generating during FY23 (H1 CY23), subject to the timely completion of commercial project agreements.
Quadrise has entered into joint development agreement (JDA) with lignin biofuel specialists Vertoro. Under the JDA, the two companies will seek to progress the use of Vertoro’s advanced crude sugar oil as a cost-effective supplement or alternative to glycerine in Quadrise’s bioMSAR fuel.
Quadrise has signed a framework agreement with MSC Shipmanagement that covers proof-of-concept (POC) tests and subsequent letters of no objection (LONO) trials using both bioMSAR and MSAR from Quadrise on one or more commercial container vessels. These trials are essential preliminaries to Quadrise potentially supplying its proprietary fuels to MSC for use in its fleet, which is the largest container ship fleet in the world, thus helping MSC reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.
Quadrise has signed a new material transfer and cooperation agreement with its client in Morocco. The signature clears the way for an industrial demonstration test at one of the client's sites, potentially leading to commercial sales of MSAR and/or bioMSAR in calendar Q123.
Quadrise has announced a phased commercial development agreement with energy services company Valkor Technologies to commercialise Quadrise’s MSAR and bioMSAR technology at Valkor’s projects in Utah. The agreement provides a framework for the potential delivery of the first commercial revenues from bioMSAR/MSAR in calendar (CY) Q322 and for multiple deployments of the technology within Utah longer term.
Quadrise made significant advances in the development of bioMSAR, its biofuel variant of MSAR during H122. However, progress on the three key trial programmes with potential customers was slower than management had expected because of factors outside the company’s control. Nevertheless, management notes that Quadrise has the cash resources to progress the ongoing trial programmes to revenue generation, which it expects will commence in calendar H222 (CY H222), subject to the successful conclusio...

Quadrise has developed a synthetic heavy fuel oil (HFO) technology that potentially reduces costs and polluting emissions for HFO users in the industrial, marine bunker and power markets, as well as improving the profitability of upstream operations and of refineries producing HFO. Recent third-party tests on Quadrise’s new biofuel, bioMSAR, show reductions in CO2 emissions that are materially ahead of existing biofuels at a lower cost.

During FY21 Quadrise made significant progress on trials in each of its target sectors: industry, marine, upstream and power; and launched a bio-fuel branded as bioMSAR. Progress has been slower than management expected, primarily because of COVID-19 restricting travel and site access. Nevertheless, the funds raised in March still provide the cash resources to progress the ongoing trial programmes to commercial revenues and positive sustainable cash flows even though management’s estimated times...
