Friday witnessed another quiet session with weak volumes and mixed order book. SOFIX (430.87) lost 0.51% as Holding Varna (5V2, BGN 37.20, -6.06%) weighed the most, followed by Albena (6AB, BGN 25.20, -1.56%) and Gradus (GR6, BGN 1.38, -1.43%). SOFIX closed negative on Friday reflecting the drops of Doverie (5DOV, BGN 3.05, -4.69%), Stara Planina (5SR, BGN 4.54, -3.4%) and Chimimport (6C4, BGN 1.00, -1.96%). First Investment Bank (5F4, BGN 2.22, +1.83%) and Holding Varna (5V2, BGN 39.60, +1.54%) supported the main index while 12 index members finished the day on the negative territory. The uncertainty and summer vacations decreased investors’ activity and overall liquidity remained poor.

The negative trend was interrupted on Thursday and the major indexes advanced with moderate volumes. Holding Sveta Sofia (4HS, BGN 3.88, +7.78%) led the gainers, followed by Stara Planina (5SR, BGN 4.70, +4.44%) and Hydraulic Elements and System (4HE, BGN 3.64, +3.41%). First Investment Bank (5F4, BGN 2.18) slipped by 0.91% under selling pressure and finished the session at BGN 2.18.
