New York, December 11, 2017-- Moody's Investors Service has maintained an A1 debt rating, with a stable outlook, to the anticipated further issuance of approximately $200 million of 60- year fixed rate surplus notes which will be exchanged for its existing surplus notes due 2039 by The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.
