A positive H1 2016, but the situation remains difficult

GIF Filter posted its H1 2016 figures, showing a 16.15% revenue increase to TND6.717m vs. TND5.783m a year ago. The domestic market showed a slight improvement of 3.57% to TND4.886m. The export sales jumped by 71.87% to reach TND1.830m. Furthermore, the production was up by 11.6%, yoy. The investments engaged during the first half of the year amounted to TND0.212m vs. an investment of TND2.437m by the end of 2015, oriented mainly to the acquisition of transport and industrial equipment.

2016, a difficult start!

GIF Filter posted its Q1 2016 figures, showing a 4.75% decrease to TND13.193m vs.TND3.352m, a year ago. The domestic market showed a drop of 4.33% to TND2.397m. However, the export sales dropped by 5.89 to reach TND0.795m. Furthermore, the production was up by 22.05%, yoy. the investments engaged during the first quarter of the year amounted to TND0.121m vs. an investment of TND2.437m by the end of 2015, oriented mainly to the acquisition of transport and industrial equipment.

Meeting with GIF-Filter's management

2015: a year to forget

GIF Filter posted its Q4 2015 figures, showing a 2.47% decrease to TND12.077M vs.TND12.384M, a year ago. The domestic market showed a drop of 9.81% to TND9.445M. However, export sales increased significantly by 37.75% to reach TND2.632M. Furthermore, production was up by 4.61%, yoy. Investments engaged during 2014 amounted to TND2.622M, a 74.4% increase, oriented mainly to the acquisition of transport equipment and industrial materials related to the fourth upgrade plan.

Bad quarter as expected !

For the third quarter, 2015, revenues were down by -17.1% to TND2.569M vs. TND3.098M a year ago. This decline was justified by the lower local demand (-16.7%) as well as decreasing export sales (-19.2%). For the first nine months of this year, the released figures are disappointing. 2015, a tough year ahead

After a good start to the year, H1 2015 results published by GIF are disappointing. Revenues were down by -7.18% to TND6.224M vs. TND5.777M a year ago. This decrease can be explained by the local activity decline (-11.4%). However, the export business went up by 17.85% to TND1.058M vs. TND0.898M a year earlier. Production decreased by -10.54% as a result of the disturbances recorded at the production level during the installation of the new machines as part of the upgrade program.
