Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (NYSE: AAP), a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider that serves both professional installer and do-it-yourself (DIY) customers, presented its 2019 Vendor of the Year awards during the company’s annual Supplier Summit held recently in Raleigh, North Carolina. During the event, Advance honored a number of its suppliers for their partnership and performance.
The 2019 Vendor of the Year award was presented to Clarios, a world leader in advanced energy storage solutions that manufactures and distributes evolving battery technologies for virtually every type of vehicle. Clarios was recognized for its collaborative work in designing and delivering a best-in-class battery consignment program and developing strategies to grow the total battery business. Many of the batteries sold are ultimately recycled by Advance, including more than 130 tons worth of lead acid batteries in 2018. The Vendor of the Year Award was presented to Peter Oklobdzija, Vice President and General Manager – Americas, at a special awards dinner during the Supplier Summit.

Advance named Sylvania the 2019 Superior Availability Vendor of the Year for its on-time delivery performance as well as developing and piloting several programs that contributed to significant improvements in Customer support. This was the second year in a row that Sylvania was recognized with this honor.
Meguiar’s received the DIY Excellence Vendor of the Year honor for their innovative new product launch strategies and in-store training efforts.
