Avnet (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced a new agreement designating the company as the first OEM distributor authorized to sell NetApp, Inc. enterprise storage solutions, such as the All Flash FAS A-Series arrays and E-Series hybrid flash systems, in the Americas. Effective immediately, OEM customers building systems in segments such as media and entertainment, network security, surveillance, telecommunications, energy, and manufacturing will have access to NetApp’s focused storage and data management portfolio, supported by Avnet’s state-of-the-art technical resources and comprehensive programming, integration and supply chain optimization capabilities.
The addition of NetApp to Avnet’s enterprise storage solutions portfolio expands Avnet customers’ access to leading technologies from the top three vendors in the market, representing greater than 50 percent of global market share, based on metrics released in a recent Worldwide Enterprise Storage Market report from IDC.
