UK Housebuilding Sector in 1Q 2020: The Promised Land

Red Dwarf, the very British sci-fi comedy franchise, ran for 11 seasons – most recently in 2017; and The Promised Land is a feature-length TV movie – out this year. Yes, the programme is an acquired taste. Strangely, too, many episodes are impacted by a virus or three (physiological, not main-frame). More practical right now, and a veritable Canaan, would be Reverse Flu Virus; and, even better, the Luck Virus. The former infects the individual with a feeling of well-being and happiness - whilst the latter morphs the host into the luckiest person alive and allows him or her to, very easily...

UK Housebuilding Sector in 4Q 2019: ‘20/20 vision'

For fighter pilots, it is a minimum requirement. But having 20/20 ‘visual acuity’ (correct term) does not necessarily mean you have perfect vision (as convention assumes); instead, it indicates sharpness and clarity of vision at a distance. It is measured by a Snellen Chart, which displays letters of progressively smaller size and whereby 20/20 means that the test subject sees the same line of letters at 20 feet that a person with normal vision sees at 20 feet (or 6 metres; but 6/6 simply didn’t catch on). 20/20 and similar (e.g. 20/200 is legal blindness) are called Snellen fractions, n...

Analyse court terme - Barratt Developments : Les cours progressent encore.

La tendance de fond est clairement orientée à la hausse. Les cours progressent encore, mais le mouvement montre moins de puissance. La prochaine résistance est à 523,75 p. La rupture du support à 481,60 p invaliderait cette tendance.

Short term view - Barratt Developments : Prices are still making progress

The background trend is clearly bullish. Prices are still making progress but there is less power in the movement. The next resistance is at 523.75 p. Breaking below the support at 481.60 p would invalidate the trend.

Short term view - Barratt Developments : The trend is bullish.

The trend is bullish. The current fall looks like a consolidation. The support at 489.84 p could cause a bullish reaction towards 523.75 p. The break of 481.60 p would endanger the trend.

Medium term view - Barratt Developments : The trend is uncertain.

The trend is uncertain. Prices are falling and they may accelerate to the downside. A new bearish trend is attempting to emerge.
