Colgate Appoints Henning Jakobsen as Chief Financial Officer and Dennis Hickey as Vice Chairman

Colgate-Palmolive Company (NYSE:CL) announced today the appointment of Henning Jakobsen, currently Vice President and Corporate Controller, to succeed Dennis Hickey, as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Hickey will assume the role of Vice Chairman.

Mr. Jakobsen (57), who has served as Colgate’s Vice President and Corporate Controller since October 2017, first joined Colgate in 1989 and has held key financial positions for the Company's European and North American business units, as well as General Manager assignments in Africa and Europe. In 2006, he became Chief Financial Officer of Chr. Hansen, a Denmark-based multinational bioscience organization, before rejoining Colgate in 2011. Mr. Jakobsen holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a graduate diploma degree in Finance and Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School.

Mr. Hickey (69) joined Colgate in 1977 and has served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer since 2011. During his more than 40 years with Colgate, he has held a variety of senior financial leadership positions for the Company and its European and North American business units, and served in a variety of business strategy leadership roles. Prior to serving as the Company’s CFO, Mr. Hickey was Vice President and Corporate Controller for 13 years. Mr. Hickey, a CPA, is a graduate of Baruch College.
