8x8 Grants New Employee Inducement Awards Pursuant to NYSE Rule 303A.08

8x8, Inc. (NYSE:EGHT), the leading provider of truly unified communications, today announced the grant on December 12, 2017 to three employees of non-qualified options to purchase up to 198,440 shares of the company’s common stock. The grants were approved by a majority of the company’s independent directors as material inducements to the hiring of the new employees, in accordance with New York Stock Exchange Rule 303A.08 and the company’s 2017 New Employee Inducement Incentive Plan.

Each stock option is exercisable at a price of $14.10 per share (which was the closing price of a share of the company’s Common Stock on the grant date) and vests over a period of approximately four years, with 1/4th of the shares vesting on the first anniversary of the recipient’s employment start date, and the remainder vesting ratably over 36 months thereafter, subject the recipient’s continuing employment or other association with the company or any of its subsidiaries.
