The Bouygues group returns to CDP’s “Climate Change A list”

For 2019 CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) has returned the Bouygues group to its “Climate Change A List”, which recognises the worldwide companies most active in the fight against climate change. For this year over 6,900 companies around the world answered CDP’s questionnaire, whose results are looked at closely by investors. Only 2% of respondents, namely 126 companies, made it to the list.

Bouygues was previously ranked in the A list by CDP in 2016. Initiatives by all its subsidiaries helped the Group return. This achievement recognises the Group’s carbon, climate and energy strategy. Special praise was given to the circular economy initiatives in the telecoms and construction businesses, the positive-energy

eco-neighbourhoods and buildings, the timber construction methods, the development of solar farms and the work to improve energy efficiency in buildings.

Bouygues is currently ranked in four different SRI (Socially Responsible Investment) indices: STOXX Global ESG Leaders, Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120 et Europe 120, FTSE4Good Index, and now the Climate Change A List.

Fabrice Bonnifet, Sustainable Development director for the Bouygues group, explains: “This recognition of our actions in favour of the climate should encourage each Bouygues group business segment to continue with its ambitious low-carbon strategies combined with quantifiable targets in partnership with our stakeholders.

Bouygues (Buy, TP: €61, +17%) Q4 25: Equans COPA guide more than offs...

Bouygues has reported a good set of results with a nice non-Telco COPA beat, and a good Equans COPA guide for FY26 (implies COPA c8% ahead of consensus). Telco is in-line for Q4, but guidance is a touch light for FY26. The net of the two should be a positive though in our view.
