San Francisco-based Envirosuite – provider of the world’s most comprehensive real-time monitoring, investigative, and predictive environmental management software – has acquired the assets of Odotech, Inc., a Montreal-headquartered environmental technology company specializing in monitoring and managing odors, gaseous contaminants, and dust.
Envirosuite’s acquisition will further bolster its existing technology platform, enabling it to compete more effectively on a global scale by offering a product platform that integrates the best of both companies’ feature functionality.
The addition of Odotech will add a depth of experience and expertise in industries where odor is a major cause of environmental issues and complaints. This is particularly the case in the wastewater, composting, pulp, and paper sectors, as well as in municipal services.
Odotech owns a family of patents and intellectual property relating to its proprietary hardware and processes. This includes the OdoWatch platform, which supports active air quality management for sites managed by industries and municipal services. Odotech currently has more than 70 OdoWatch sites worldwide.

Envirosuite recently was awarded contracts for air quality monitoring in both San Francisco and Los Angeles from the air quality regulatory bodies for those regions. The company is already the environmental management system of choice for global mining companies like BHP and AngloAmerican, and for Thames Water, the largest water utility in Europe.
Envirosuite’s product development team will be based in Montreal and Brisbane, while Odotech’s sales and support functions in Canada and Chile will integrate with the existing global Envirosuite sales and marketing team.
