FICO Brings Free Financial Literacy Workshops to Washington, D.C. on Final Stop of Chelsea FC’s Summer Tour

On August 24, global analytics software leader, FICO, will host two free events: a free Score A Better Future ™ (SABF) event for adults and a Score A Better Future Fundamentals credit education event for teens. These events aim to provide Washington, D.C. residents with the knowledge and resources necessary to enhance their understanding of their future financial health, including the role of credit and an overview of the FICO® Score, the credit score used by 90% of top US lenders.

By pairing this educational opportunity with the excitement of the soccer match during the Fields of Financial Empowerment tour, FICO seeks to raise awareness of the importance of financial education. Working together with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the , FICO will bring 50 local girl soccer players to the Chelsea FC Women's practice facility the day before the match for a questions and answers session and meet-and-greet with the players. The following day, participants of SABF and Fundamentals workshops will have the opportunity to attend the Chelsea FC Women x Arsenal Women FC match, held at 7:00 p.m. EDT at the Audi Field.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation, in collaboration with the , plays a vital role in bringing teens to the FICO’s Score a Better Future Fundamentals workshops, designed to educate high school and middle school students on how FICO® Scores can impact their future and how to develop good financial habits.

The Washington, D.C. SABF event registrants will be able to hear from FICO’s partner, (MMI) and have an opportunity to set up a free consultation with MMI to get their FICO® Score, discuss their credit report, and set a plan to achieve their financial goals.
