Cedar Fair Entertainment Company (NYSE: FUN), a leader in regional amusement parks, water parks and immersive entertainment, received four top honors in Amusement Today’s annual Golden Ticket Awards (GTA). For an unprecedented 22 years in a row, Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas has been recognized as the “World’s Best Water Park,” and for the fourth year in a row, the much-desired “Best Steel Coaster” award was given to giga coaster, at Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Proudly, Cedar Fair also accepted the “Renaissance Award” for the Kings Mills Antique Autos on behalf of Kings Island near Cincinnati, Ohio, and the “Innovation of the Year” award for Yukon Striker’s Loose Article Storage System at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. In all, 27 rides and attractions throughout Cedar Fair’s portfolio of amusement parks and water parks were recognized by the GTA.

Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas, the newest member of the Cedar Fair family of parks, has been recognized by Amusement Today as the “World’s Best Water Park” for 22 consecutive years. This iconic central Texas property is best known for its unique spring-fed river setting and German heritage. With over 50 attractions across 70 acres, Schlitterbahn remains a fan favorite and a one-of-a-kind family water park and resort experience.
Once again, Fury 325 at Carowinds won the GTA for best steel coaster. The coaster has won top honors for best new ride and best steel coaster since its debut in 2015. Other Cedar Fair coasters in the top 25 spots in the “Top Steel Roller Coasters in the World” category were Cedar Point’s , Steel Vengeance, , and ; at in Vaughan, Ontario; at Kings Island; and at Kings Dominion.
Six Cedar Fair wooden coasters were voted into the “Top 25 Wooden Roller Coasters in the World” category, including and Mystic Timbers at Kings Island; at in Buena Park, California; at in Santa Clara; at in Muskegon; and Renegade at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota.
The company’s parks also earned notable rankings in other categories, including Cedar Point in the “Best Park” category, Knott’s Berry Farm in the “” category, and in Gilroy, California, in the “Most Beautiful Park” category.
Presented annually, the prestigious recognize excellence in the amusement park industry. The awards are calculated from an international poll conducted by Amusement Today, an Arlington, Texas-based publication that covers amusement and water park news and trends.
