Berlin / Munich, 12 December 2018 - Scout24 AG, operator of the marketplaces ImmobilienScout24 and AutoScout24, is expanding its Management Board by two additional members. The Supervisory Board resolved to appoint Dr. Thomas Schroeter and Ralf Weitz to the Management Board. Both are experienced managers and have been jointly Managing Directors of ImmobilienScout24 since February 2018. Dr. Thomas Schroeter will assume the position of Chief Product Officer on the Management Board and will thus be responsible for the entire product development and marketing of the Group. As Chief Commercial Officer, Ralf Weitz will in future be responsible for all sales activities of the Scout24 marketplaces. Both have extensive experience: In addition to their role in the management of ImmobilienScout24, they are already responsible for product & marketing (Dr. Thomas Schroeter) and sales (Ralf Weitz) in cross-group functions. Dr. Hans-Holger Albrecht, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: "Thomas Schroeter and Ralf Weitz are both very experienced managers who, together with CEO Tobias Hartmann and CFO Christian Gisy, will continue to drive Scout24's successful strategy forward. At the same time, both have already proven in the past that they can provide the right dynamism to continue the success story of Scout24". CEO Tobias Hartmann added: "Both have successfully driven the growth of ImmobilienScout24, AutoScout24 and Scout24 Consumer Services. I am very much looking forward to further cooperation in order to continuously develop our digital market networks". Ralf Weitz has been with Scout24 for over ten years in various management positions. He played a key role in the development of the Scout24 Consumer Services division, which under his leadership has developed into an important growth engine for the Group. In it, the company bundles individual additional services, such as the brokerage of relocation services or construction and car financing. After studying economics in Berlin, Ralf Weitz worked, among other things, in international consulting.
