Wisconsin Power and Light Company Prices Debt Offering

$350 million in debentures will be due in 2050

MADISON, Wis., March 30, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wisconsin Power and Light Company (“WPL”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: LNT), announced the pricing of its public offering of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 3.650% debentures.  The debentures will be due on April 1, 2050.  WPL intends to use the proceeds from this offering to reduce borrowings under its revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes. The closing of the offering is expected to occur on April 2, 2020, subject to customary closing conditions.

The offering was marketed through a group of underwriters consisting of BofA Securities, Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC as joint book-running managers, and KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc. as co-managers.
