LP Building Products Repositions as LP Building Solutions

To more accurately communicate its commitment to the needs and opportunities within a changing industry, today LP Building Products announced its new name: LP Building Solutions. This strategic decision reflects LP’s goal to be the industry’s leading building solutions company.

“This change represents LP’s continued evolution as a company,” said Brad Southern, CEO of LP Building Solutions. “With over 45 years of industry experience, we believe this change demonstrates our continued drive to align with our customers. We began as a forestry products company, but evolved to a building products company as we quickly realized our customers were looking for products to help them build better. To continue to lead the industry, today we are taking the next step as we reposition our company, our brand and what we bring to market to reflect a broader approach in developing solutions for our customers.”

Over the past two years, LP has transformed to create value with customers. By repositioning its proven products and introducing new products, LP is poised to continue its shift to focus on solutions.

“Our industry is facing challenges, and LP Building Solutions is committed to finding the ways to address those challenges for the greater improvement of the industry as a whole,” said Mike Sims, LP’s Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Strategy. “Proof of this commitment includes our recent introduction of several innovative products—LP® SmartSide® Smooth Trim & Siding, LP® WeatherLogic™ Air & Water Barrier, and LP® Elements™ Performance Fencing—as well as our recent investment in Entekra, the off-site building manufacturer.”
