Drew Matus Joins MetLife Investments as Chief Market Strategist

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE:MET) today announced that it has appointed Drew Matus as chief market strategist for MetLife Investments. In this role, Matus will be responsible for formulating MetLife’s global and economic market outlooks, which ultimately help to shape the company’s portfolio management and business decisions.

Matus joins MetLife from UBS Securities LLC, where he most recently served as deputy chief U.S. economist. He has held senior economist roles at financial firms including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, Inc., as well as analyst roles at Moore Capital Management and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

His two decades of financial services industry knowledge and strong track record of actionable, strategic advice will be invaluable to our team as we make investment decisions in increasingly dynamic markets.”

Matus holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a bachelor of arts from Colby College, where he graduated cum laude.
