Greg Martens Joins Mercer from Willis Towers Watson as Central Market CEO

Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth and careers, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE:MMC), has appointed Greg Martens as Central1 Market CEO, based in the Chicago office. Mr. Martens is responsible for driving value, delivering solutions and building Mercer’s brand to the firm’s Central market clients. He will report to Ken Haderer, President of Mercer’s North America Region.

“Greg is a highly-respected leader in the human capital industry and we are thrilled to welcome him to Mercer,” said Mr. Haderer. “Greg’s proven track record will enable us to grow our Central market and continue to expand Mercer’s position as the employer of choice.”

Prior to joining Mercer, Mr. Martens was with Willis Towers Watson where he served as Midwest Health and Benefits Leader. He also held positions as the Chicago Market Leader for Aon Consulting and as an Executive Compensation consultant and Business Development facilitator for Hewitt Associates. Mr. Martens received his Bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University, Michigan.
