KLAS Healthcare Management Consulting Report Rates Navigant in Top Quadrant for Engagement Complexity and Firm’s Role in Organizational Success

Navigant (NYSE: NCI) was one of just three firms to be rated in the top quadrant for leading complex projects and leaving major impact in the recently released Healthcare Management Consulting 2017 report from KLAS™. The report is based in-part on feedback from more than 20 Navigant clients, which cite the firm’s “integrity, willingness to learn, and investment in customer success” as “critical in helping clients achieve significant financial results.” Navigant also placed in the broad cross-industry category for demonstrating the capacity to handle the most complex engagements in healthcare.

KLAS, a research and insights firm on a global mission to improve healthcare delivery by amplifying the provider’s voice, rated the performance of 19 established healthcare organizations and their solutions by soliciting feedback from hospitals and health systems that use their services.

Clients cite Navigant for its honesty and high return on investment, in part because of a refusal to push unnecessary work. A revenue cycle executive explained his experience this way: “I really respect Navigant’s integrity. When they did the assessment, they didn’t find any areas for improvement on one side. They told us that knowing that we might not select them as our firm.”

Following are additional comments from Navigant clients:

  • “Navigant has strong physician leadership and strong nurse leadership, and the Navigant executives drive everything forward.”
  • “I really liked that Navigant had consultants that had real world experience. Their people had been in our shoes before and could really speak to and understand some of the challenges, instead of giving us only spreadsheet exercises.”
  • “Navigant’s people are proven Epic experts. They can answer very detailed questions because they know Epic systems inside and out.”
  • “There is no way we would have reached the results without Navigant.”

According to David Zito, Navigant managing director and healthcare segment leader, “What makes this achievement that much more gratifying is it reflects our clients’ belief that Navigant is positively impacting their most complex cost and quality challenges. It’s a reflection of the dedication of Navigant employees across our entire healthcare practice to helping our clients take control of their future.”

Navigant engagement types validated by KLAS for the report include helping clients determine managed care, payer, and population health strategies; conduct revenue cycle transformation projects; develop and implement clinically integrated networks; and conduct value-based care strategy readiness and financial improvement assessments.

Navigant’s Healthcare practice is composed of consultants, former provider administrators, clinicians, and other experts with decades of strategy, operational/clinical consulting, managed services, revenue cycle management, and outsourcing experience. Professionals collaborate with hospitals and health systems, physician enterprises, payers, government, and life sciences entities, providing strategic, performance improvement, and business process management solutions that help them meet quality and financial goals.
