Newmont Recognized by NACD for Excellence in Board Diversity and Innovation

(NYSE: NEM) (Newmont or the Company) announced today that the Company won the Large Cap category at the  (NACD) inaugural . Newmont was chosen from among 25 nominated boards of directors for excellence in harnessing board diversity and innovation as a strategy for creating long-term value.

The inaugural NACD NXT Recognition Gala & Awards Ceremony was held at the NACD Global Board Leaders’ Summit on Saturday, September 29, 2018, in Washington, D.C. The gala served as the formal announcement and kick-off of NACD NXT, a multi-year initiative to equip board directors to better navigate the rapidly changing business environment and challenges of the future.

Last month, Newmont was named the by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for an unprecedented fourth year in a row. Earlier this year, the Company was  as the world’s leading miner in FORTUNE magazine’s most admired companies list.
