Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a leader in enterprise cloud computing, today announced that Reed Exhibitions (REED), the world's leading events organizer is enjoying a 30 percent improvement in operational efficiencies after migrating its business-critical enterprise applications to the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS software.
In a seamless, trouble-free migration, REED brought multiple business critical enterprise applications such as SAP, Microsoft SQL, and Landesk onto a single, hyperconverged infrastructure. Since then, the company has experienced a 30 percent increase in application performance, and a 30 percent reduction in time needed for infrastructure management, as well as nearly unlimited capabilities to scale for future expansion.
In addition, additional savings were also generated from reduced IT resources, power-consumer, and data centre space.

Previously, REED's IT infrastructure was running on legacy systems comprised of 20 to 25 different servers. With the rapid expansion of REED's business, however, the Singapore hub was finding managing multiple IT solutions a challenge. The firm was therefore looking for the right technology partner to provide scalable and efficient IT infrastructure support. Working with IIJ Global Solutions, REED ultimately chose to deploy the Nutanix solution.
REED organizes a portfolio of 500 events in 41 countries, staffed by 3,000 exhibition specialists annually. Its key market and IT Hub for the APAC region is based in Singapore, which oversees the company's information technology function across its corporate offices worldwide.
