Part of the TruDefinition® Duration® Designer Colors Collection shingle line, Sedona Canyon pairs well with popular home design colors.

“We know that homeowners use color in unique ways to enhance the curb appeal of their home, and we’re seeing that the roof color is being included in those decisions,” said Brian King, vice president, strategic marketing, Owens Corning. “Talking about Sedona Canyon is an ideal way to start that conversation with homeowners.

“A home’s roof can represent up to 40 percent of its exterior,” King added. “That makes a significant impact on the look of a home. More and more homeowners are realizing the difference that the right color on the roof can make. When we previewed the color of the year at the International Builders Show this year, we had a lot of exciting and positive feedback.”

Visitors to the Owens Corning space at IRE will meet television home renovation and design experts, Mina Starsiak and Karen Laine (Two Chicks and a Hammer, Indianapolis). Mina and Karen can talk about color from booth #1031 on March 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to SHINGLE COLOR OF THE YEAR, Owens Corning Roofing worked with Leatrice Eiseman, global color expert and Executive Director of the PANTONE Color Institute, to gain insight into the role of color in homeowners’ lives and how color inspires their homes. Eiseman noted that the pairing of trending fashion colors with shingle colors provides inspiration for homeowners who may not have considered the impact of color on the exterior of their home.

To further help homeowners visualize how bold shingle colors can create a style statement that reflects the homeowner’s personality, Owens Corning provides complimentary online tools and resources.

The Design EyeQ® Visualization Tool makes it easy for homeowners to ‘try on’ a new roof by uploading a photo and experimenting with color options, effectively providing a risk-free way to experience various shingle colors.

Complimentary printed color swatches of TruDefinition® Duration® Series shingles may be ordered online, allowing homeowners to see color samples as they work with their Owens Corning Contractor Network member to choose a shingle color.

“People have always incorporated the latest fashion colors into their clothing, furnishings and interiors. They surround themselves with the colors that they love. Owens Corning has multiple ways to make it easy and fun for style-conscious homeowners to apply the power of color at the highest point of their home’s exterior,” said Sue Burkett, marketing leader at Owens Corning.

Owens Corning will introduce additional color and shingle pairings throughout 2017 and will announce a new SHINGLE COLOR OF THE YEAR annually. To learn more about inspiring colors at the roof and to check out inspiration boards, visit: https://www.owenscorning.com/roofing/design-inspire.
