Owens Corning to Showcase the Power of Composites at JEC World 2017

Composites experts from Owens Corning (NYSE: OC), a leading global producer of glass fiber reinforcements for composite systems, will showcase the possibilities of a world “Powered by Composites” at the JEC World 2017 composites show and conferences, March 14-16, in Paris, France.

Owens Corning’s presence at JEC World 2017 will feature:

 

Products and solutions for a range of applications serving the transportation, building and construction, infrastructure, wind energy, and industrial sectors. Customer product samples on display will include:

• Glass fiber rebar cage from ATP srl, used to reinforce precast concrete tunnel segments (infrastructure market) featuring Owens Corning Pulstrand® 4100 single-end rovings.

• Continuously wound GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) pipe from The Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company (Amiantit) for fluid transport (industrial market) featuring Owens Corning Advantex® reinforcements.

• Road tank drain outlet from Rousseau SAS for powder shipments (industrial market) featuring Owens Corning Uniflo® continuous filament mats.

 

Technical presentation: “The Future of Automobiles, Powered by Composites.”

Owens Corning Global Product Manager Geoffrey Gendebien will discuss how the company’s composite product solutions are enabling lighter parts, supporting reduced fuel consumption and demands to lower CO2 emissions, as well as redefined surface appearance – all without compromising performance – for an array of vehicles in the transportation sector. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 15, from 11:30 a.m. to noon (CET), in the Agora Zone (Hall 5A).
 

Representatives from Owens Corning’s global team of composites experts and business leaders will be on hand to discuss the company’s array of industry-leading products and solutions.

 

Digital resources featuring a comprehensive suite of on-demand content including downloadable case studies and product literature are available, as well as a series of “Powered by Composites” videos spanning the infrastructure, transportation, wind energy, and industrial markets, and 3D printing and Composites Hub projects.

Billed as the largest international gathering of composites professionals, JEC World 2017 will take place March 14-16, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. Owens Corning is exhibiting in Hall 5A, Booth J39.
