Campbell joined ON Semiconductor’s board in July 2015 and has been a key force in driving company direction and strategy with his financial expertise and over 30 years of industry experience. In connection with taking on this role, Campbell will also serve as chairman of the executive committee and member of the audit, corporate governance and nominating, and integration oversight committees.

Campbell is also currently a member of the board and chairman of the audit committee for Dialog Semiconductor, a manufacturer of integrated circuits that power mobile devices and the Internet of Things.

During his career, Campbell served as chief financial officer at Freescale Semiconductor for over 10 years. During his tenure, Campbell guided Freescale through its initial public offering in 2004, a leveraged buyout in 2006, and a second public offering of shares in 2011. Prior to serving as CFO, Campbell served as senior vice president and director of finance of the Semiconductor Product Sector (SPS) division of Motorola, Inc. from February 2000 to May 2004. His career at Motorola began in 1981 as the European finance director.

“As a member of our board, Alan’s leadership and industry insight have been key factors in many of our successes, particularly in the company’s significant revenue and profitability growth during the past two years,” said Keith Jackson, president and CEO of ON Semiconductor. “As the company continues on its trajectory to achieve its revenue and profitability targets, Alan’s expertise in the semiconductor industry will be an invaluable resource in his new role as chairman of our board of directors. On behalf of the entire board of directors, I congratulate Alan on the acceptance of his expanded role with the company.”

"I am impressed with the leadership talent and the tremendous potential of ON Semiconductor," Campbell said. "I've greatly enjoyed being part of this team, and I'm looking forward to continuing our efforts to drive shareholder value.”
