Syros Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: SYRS), a biopharmaceutical company pioneering the development of medicines to control the expression of genes, today announced that it is offering to sell, subject to market and other conditions, $40.0 million of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Syros also intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to $6.0 million of its common stock at the public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. The proceeds of the offering are expected to be used to fund the company’s research and clinical development programs and other corporate purposes. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Cowen and Company, LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. JMP Securities LLC is acting as lead manager.
