MEDIA ADVISORY: PeopleReady Hiring to Immediately Fill 2,000 Jobs For Houston Recovery Effort

PeopleReady (NYSE:TBI):

What:

PeopleReady, one of the nation’s largest industrial staffing providers, announced today that is looking for 2,000 people to work in the Hurricane Harvey recovery effort. Job seekers can sign up at any of PeopleReady’s 11 branches in the area. They can also sign up at the PeopleReady mobile unit that arrived in Houston last night. The mobile unit will be visiting emergency shelters and hard-hit areas to speak directly with people looking for work.

How:

Once job seekers have applied for work, they can use a mobile app to find and accept jobs.

Who:

PeopleReady President Sean Ebner is in Houston and is available to discuss the jobs that need to be filled and how businesses can partner with PeopleReady to get the workers they need. Ebner can provide context on this recovery operation compared with others the company has aided including Hurricane Katrina and Super Storm Sandy. Available with Ebner are Market Manager Moises Solis, Director of Construction John Chism, and Regional Vice President Smith Williams.

Where/When:

PeopleReady President Sean Ebner will be at the PeopleReady branch at 1620 Gessner Drive from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT, then at the mobile unit until 1 p.m. Call him directly at (214) 604-3918 for current location. The mobile unit will be at various locations to make it easier for people to sign up for work. Once registered, workers can use PeopleReady’s JobStack mobile app to search for jobs without having to go to a branch office.

Background: The company expects to put more than 2,000 people to work toward the area’s recovery. In addition to rebuilding the community, these jobs are a valuable option for residents who have been displaced from their work due to the storm and floods. The work will mostly involve removal of debris and damaged materials, as well as construction activity during rebuilding. Businesses can also contact PeopleReady for assistance in restoring and reopening their facilities.
